St. Luke’s Home Care

A Programme bringing help to people in their homes.

Led by Jane Dowd, Educational Health Nurse, from Co. Galway, Ireland and employing 4 local nurses with their irreplaceable knowledge of both culture and language. Formerly unemployed, these dedicated professionals are making a huge difference to the lives of people, of all age groups, who were badly traumatised because of war and ethnic cleansing. The incidence of poor health, even among the young, is very high. As there is little or no local infrastructure to cope St. Joseph & The Helpers Charity are very happy to support Jane and her team in this great work. It costs around €10,000 per year for one nurse’s salary, car expenses and basic medication. With your help we can provide much needed resources to Jane which will enable her to expand this beautiful programme.
