The Miracles Centre for Prosthesis & Care

The Miracles Centre for Prosthesis & Care was completed in May 2009. The aim of making one limb a week in the first year is slightly ahead of target, which is a great start. However, with an estimated 5,000 people in need of new limbs your support is needed for this wonderful project.

Bosnia & Herzegovina is still one of the seven most land mined countries in the world. There have been 1,660 victims since the war ended in 1995 of whom 328 (20%) are children. Children need their prosthetics altered or remade every six months to accommodate growth. Without this regular support their prosthetic limbs become useless. The pictures of 12 yr old Jasmin and 10 yr old Sabira show two children we helped with new limbs. Can you help us to provide Jasmin and Sabira with replacement limbs as well as many others on a long waiting list?
